Los miembros del Cuerpo de Custodia y Vigilancia Penitenciaria Nacional, deberán laborar y estar disponibles durante todo el tiempo que lo requieran las necesidades propias del servicio. Como contraprestación tendrán una asignación mensual fija denominada sobresueldo que constituye factor de salario y que se pagará de acuerdo con lo establecido en los Decretos 1302 de 1978 y 447 de 1984, o en los que los modifique o sustituya.
