Autorizacion de funcionamiento. Autorízase el funcionamiento de las áreas metropolitanas cuyo núcleo principal sean los municipios de Medellín, Cali, Barranquilla, Bucaramanga y Pereira, siempre y cuando satisfagan los requisitos establecidos en el artículo 2°. del presente Decreto. Igualmente autorízase la organización de otras áreas metropolitanas que reúnan los mismos requisitos.
