Funciones Generales.El Sistema de Búsqueda y SalvamentoMarítimo Nacional Colombiano, tendrá las siguientes funciones generales: 1. Recibir, acusar recibo y retransmitir notificaciones de emergencia o socorro al correspondiente Centro Coordinador de Salvamento. 2. Coordinar la búsqueda. 3. Coordinar el salvamento y transporte de los supervivientes a un lugar seguro. 4. Ofrecer asesoramiento médico, primeros auxilios o evacuación médica. 5. Las que se establezcan de manera específica en el Plan Nacional de Búsqueda y Salvamento Marítimo (PNS) o en los manuales y planes operacionales correspondientes.
