Para atender al pago mensual de los sueldos de retiro, se aplicarán los fondos provenientes de la cuota correspondientes del aporte anual de la Nación y los valores producidos por los descuentos mensuales determinados en el ordinal c) del artículo precedente. Si los valores indicados no alcanzaren para cubrir mensualmente el total de los sueldos de retiro decretados, el Gobierno tomará de las apropiaciones del Ministerio de Guerra en el respectivo mes, la suma que falte y la entregará a la Caja de Sueldos de Retiro.
