Para la realización del censo, el Departamento Administrativo Nacional de Estadística, DANE, podrá constituir contingentes de personal en cada unidad geográfica censal, que comprendan el área de uno o varios municipios contiguos, con el fin de administrar los recursos humanos, físicos y logísticos necesarios para recabar la información censal.
