Los Gobernadores y en general los representantes legales de las entidades sujetos de control fiscal deberán presentar ante las Asambleas Departamentales, Juntas o Consejos Directivos a que corresponda, dentro de los siguientes ocho días hábiles las modificaciones pertinentes al presupuesto para la vigencia de 1996, a efecto de ajustar por el tiempo que reste de la misma las apropiaciones de las Contralorías Departamentales, de conformidad con las disposiciones de la presente Ley.
