Cuando quiera que el Superintendente se separe de su puesto, lo reemplazará un Superintendente Delegado. Si el puesto de Superintendente quedare vacante, lo reemplazará el primer Delegado, y en caso de ausencia o incapacidad de éste, el segundo Delegado, mientras el Presidente de la República llena la vacante. Cada uno de los Delegados prestará una caución, a favor del Tesoro Nacional, por la suma de veinticinco mil pesos ($ 25,000) a satisfacción del Ministro del Tesoro y del Contralor General, para garantizar el fiel cumplimiento de los deberes de su oficio.
