Articulo 1 º. Para los efectos del presente Decreto se entiende por vehículo automotor blindado o con protección antibalas, aquél cuya carrocería está fabricada en chapa de acero, aluminio, fibra de vidrio, o cualquier otro componente similar, con el fin de garantizar la máxima protección y seguridad a los ocupantes y material transportado, contra el efecto de la acción de armas de fuego no superiores a calibres 38 o 9 mm.
