Art. 2.º Concédese igualmente una recompensa de dos mil pesos ($ 2,000) al Coronel Leoncio Vargas como indemnización por sus servicios prestados al Gobierno y a la perdida su casa de habitación en la guerra de 1895; otra de mil pesos ($ 1,000) á la señora Catalina Vargas P., hermana del Alférez Fermín Vargas, muerto en combate de Quirbaquirá; y otra de tres mil pesos ($ 3,000) al señor Moisés García, padre del Sargento Mayor del mismo nombre, que murió heróicamente defendiendo la plaza del Espinal en 1895.
