La Dirección y control integral del Fosyga está a cargo del Ministerio de Salud, quien a través de la Dirección General de Gestión Financiera garantizará el adecuado cumplimiento y desarrollo de sus objetivos. Para estos efectos el Ministerio de Salud deberá contratar una auditoría especializada en manejo financiero, de gestión y demás aspectos que se consideren necesarios.
