°. Objetivo . El Departamento Administrativo de Seguridad tiene como objeto primordial la formulación y adopción de las políticas, planes generales, programas y proyectos del Sector Administrativo. En desarrollo de su objeto el Departamento Administrativo de Seguridad producirá la inteligencia que requiere el Estado, como instrumento de Gobierno para la toma de decisiones y la formulación de políticas relacionadas con la seguridad interior y exterior del Estado, de conformidad con lo preceptuado en la Ley y la Constitución Política de Colombia.
