Oficinas de Registro de Instrumentos Públicos. Las Oficinas de Registro de Instrumentos Públicos son dependencias de la Superintendencia de Notariado y Registro. En cada una de las capitales de departamento y en el Distrito Capital funcionarán oficinas principales de registro de instrumentos públicos, que son cabecera de círculo registral y cumplirán las funciones que determine la ley. A su vez podrán funcionar oficinas seccionales que dependerán de las principales. El Gobierno Nacional podrá convertir en principales, las oficinas seccionales que por el volumen de su actividad lo ameriten.
