El presente capítulo tiene por objeto la regulación de comportamientos que puedan poner en peligro la salud pública por el consumo de alimentos . Las Secretarías de Salud de las entidades territoriales y el Instituto Nacional de Vigilancia de Alimentos y Medicamentos (INVIMA) serán las encargadas de ejercer las facultades de conformidad con sus competencias de inspección, vigilancia y control.
