El Gobierno Nacional reconocerá de interés nacional las enfermedades huérfanas para garantizar el acceso a los servicios de salud y tratamiento y rehabilitación a las personas que se diagnostiquen con dichas enfermedades, con el fin de beneficiar efectivamente a esta población con los diferentes planes, programas y estrategias de intervención en salud, emitidas por el Ministerio de la Protección Social.
