Art. 52. En los puertos en que la República no tenga Ajentes consulares, o en que no los haya de la de Chile, los cuales están obligados, por tratado con esta República, a certificar las facturas i los sobordos, i en caso de que no exista en el puerto de la procedencia Cónsul alguno de Nacion amiga, o de que los existentes no convengan en certificar las facturas i sobordos, lo harán dos comerciantes, cuyas firmas autenticará un funcionario público.
