- La Sección de Documentación Científica cumplirá las siguientes funciones

a)

Dirigir y controlar la organización y funcionamiento del área de documentación científica.

b)

Administrar la documentación científica que llega a la sede del Nivel Nacional.

c)

Elaborar y tramitar las solicitudes de adquisición de material bibliográfico y de suscripción a publicaciones periódicas.

d)

Promover la difusión de las publicaciones científicas que se originen en el Instituto y externamente.

e)

Promover y coordinar programas de intercambio con entidades o dependencias nacionales e internacionales con funciones similares.

f)

Suministrar la información bibliográfica que sea solicitada por los usuarios.

g)

Las demás que se le asignen.
