Naturaleza. El Instituto de Hidrología, Meteorología y Estudios Ambientales (Ideam) es un establecimiento público de carácter nacional adscrito al Ministerio de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sostenible, con autonomía administrativa, personería jurídica y patrimonio independiente.

Parágrafo 1

Para todo propósito de la Ley 99 de 1993, entiéndase por Instituto de Hidrología, Meteorología e Investigaciones Ambientales (Ideam) como el Instituto de Hidrología, Meteorología y Estudios Ambientales (Ideam).

Parágrafo 2

Para todo propósito del presente capítulo las Corporaciones Autónomas Regionales y las Corporaciones de Desarrollo Sostenible a que hace referencia la Ley 99 de 1993 se llamarán en adelante “Corporaciones”.
