La presente ley tiene por objeto designar oficialmente el Día Nacional por la Dignidad de las Victimas del Genocidio contra la Unión Patriótica, establecer las pautas para su conmemoración anual y fas actividades de difusión, y disponer otras medidas relacionadas que contribuyan a la reparación simbólica de las víctimas y familiares.
