Origen. Creada mediante Decreto número 1336 del 13 de julio de 1998, para estimular y premiar al personal de la Institución que sobresalga por su dedicación y capacidad profesional al Servicio de las Comunicaciones Militares, o aquellas personas, entidades privadas o públicas que presten servicios meritorios en beneficio de las Comunicaciones Militares
