La Comandancia general de la Gendarmería Nacional se compondrá del siguiente personal: Un Comandante general. Un segundo Jefe. Un Inspector general. Cuatro Jefes Divisionarios. Dos Ayudantes generales. Un Secretario del Comandante general. Un Habilitado. Un Comandante de Gendarmería montado. Un Portaestandarte. Cuatro escribientes. Y los demás empleados subalternos que se consideren necesarios para la buena marcha de este Cuerpo. A todos estos empleados, lo mismo que á los Gendarmes, se les asignará sus sueldos y raciones por medio de Decreto ejecutivo.
