Los Jueces municipales y sus suplentes será nombrados por los Consejos municipales respectivos para un periodo de un año, cuya fecha inicial es la de 1º de agosto de 1905, y no podrán ser reemplazados sino por causas legales.

Parágrafo

Cuando un Juez municipal haya sido reemplazo durante su periodo por el Consejo sin causa justificativa, o cuando este haya hecho simultáneamente dos nombramientos para dicho empleo, corresponde al Gobernador del Departamento resolver cuál de los Jueces nombrados ha de funcionar.
