Artículo octavo. En Bogotá y todos aquellos lugares del país donde existan sucursales y agencias del Banco de la República, éste será el único depositario de los fondos del Gobierno Nacional, de los depósitos judiciales y de los depósitos de garantía en favor de entidades nacionales de derecho público. En los sitios donde no tenga establecida oficina el Banco de la República, los depósitos se harán en la Caja de Crédito Agrario, Industrial y Minero o en la Caja Colombiana de Ahorros, y, a falta de éstas, en los bancos comerciales.
