Con el objeto de atender programas especiales establecidos por el Gobierno Nacional, el Instituto Colombiano de la Reforma Agraria tendrá las siguientes Areas de Trabajo: La del Putumayo, con sede en Puerto Asís; la del Vichada, con sede en el Municipio de La Primavera; la del Amazonas, con sede en el Municipio de Leticia; la de Guapí, en el Departamento del Cauca; la de Barrancabermeja en el Departamento de Santander; y las de Urabá, la Región de La Mojana, y el Sur de Bolívar, con sede en los Departamentos de Antioquia, Sucre y Bolívar, respectivamente.
