Selección de régimen pensional. A partir del 1° de abril de 1994, los afiliados al Sistema General de Pensiones previsto en la Ley 100 de 1993 podrán seleccionar cualquiera de los dos regímenes que lo componen. En consecuencia, deberán seleccionar uno de los siguientes regímenes

Régimen solidario de prima media con prestación definida;

Régimen de ahorro individual con solidaridad. De conformidad con lo dispuesto en el artículo 16 de la Ley 100 de 1993, ninguna persona podrá estar simultáneamente afiliado a los dos regímenes del Sistema. (Decreto 692 de 1994, artículo 3°)
