Art. 2°: El comprobante de la libertad de cada esclavo será la carta de libertad espedida en su favor con arreglo a las leyes vijentes, previos los respectivos avalúos practicados con las formalidades legales, i con las demas que dictare el Poder Ejecutivo.

Único. Ningun esclavo menor de 45 años será avaluado en mas de mil i seiscientos reales si fuere varon, i de mil i doscientos reales si fuere hembra: i ningun esclavo mayor de 45 años será avaluado en mas de mil i doscientos reales si fuere varon, i de ochocientos reales si fuere hembra.
