º. Por razón de su cuantía divídanse las sucesiones en tres categorías, a saber: Primera categoría. Sucesiones cuya cuantía sea de un millón (1.000.000) de pesos, o más. Segunda categoría. Sucesiones cuya cuantía sea de cien mil pesos ($ 100.000) o más sin llegar a un millón Tercera categoría. Sucesiones cuya cuantía sea menor de cien mil pesos ($100.000). La cuantía de las sucesiones para establecer su categoría se determinará por el activo patrimonial denunciado por el causante en su última declaración de renta. Cuando se trate de sociedades conyugales, al activo patrimonial se determinará agregando al del causante los bienes sociales denunciados por el cónyuge sobreviviente.
