El Ministerio de Obras Públicas, a través de sus dependencias tendrá la administración del Fondo de Inmuebles Nacionales. El Ministro de Obras Públicas será su representante legal y el Tesorero del Fondo será el Tesorero General de la República.

El Gobierno Nacional expedirá los estatutos del Fondo de Inmuebles Nacionales observando los principios de esta Ley y las disposiciones sobre establecimientos públicos que le sean aplicables.

El Fondo asumirá la administración de los contratos vigentes del Gobierno relativos a Inmuebles Nacionales.
