ARTICULO 1.3.1.4.2 . REDUCCION DEL CAPITAL. La Superintendencia Bancaria procederá a hacer reducir el capital de los establecimientos bancarios, corporaciones financieras, corporaciones de ahorro y vivienda, compañías de financiamiento comercial y sociedades de servicios financieros, por el valor que sea necesario, con motivo de pérdidas y castigos de sus activos después de haber eliminado, por este mismo concepto, el total de sus reservas, sin que esta reducción afecte el límite de capital establecido por la ley. De las sumas que las entidades recuperen de los activos eliminados deberán llevar no menos del cuarenta por ciento (40%) al fondo de reserva legal, hasta que este llegue al cincuenta por ciento (50%).
