Están exentas del pago del impuesto las cantidades de carbón no coquizante suministradas directa o indirectamente a plantas o industrias que tengan por objeto la producción de combustibles sintéticos u otros productos que sustituyan el uso de hidrocarburos. Para disfrutar de esta exención será indispensable que el interesado Presente trimestralmente una constancia de los hechos que la fundamenten, expedida por el Ministerio de Minas y Energía.
