Hay falta absoluta cuando ocurre alguno de los hechos que dejan vacante el puesto, conforme a los artículos 5º y 13.

Hay falta temporal cuando la vacante ocurre por licencia concedida al empleado, enfermedad, o suspensión del mismo. Hay falta accidental cuando ocurre el impedimento en el empleado para ejercer sus funciones en determinado negocio, pero es indispensable que la existencia del impedimento se haya declarado judicialmente.
