ARTICULO 12 . La visa oficial podrá ser otorgada por la Dirección General de Protocolo del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores o por el Jefe de una Misión Diplomática de la República, a lo extranjeros titulares de pasaporte oficial o similar, que vengan en desempeño de una Misión Oficial. Cuando una visa oficial se expida en el exterior deberá ser solicitada por el respectivo Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores, Organismo Internacional o Misión Diplomática, según el caso y tendrá una vigencia provisional de 90 días.
