Artículo segundo. Son funciones de las Juntas creadas por el presente Decreto, las siguientes

Coordinar el esfuerzo de los distintos organismos de Inteligencia del Estado en aquellos aspectos que tengan relación con la seguridad nacional, dentro de sus respectivas jurisdicciones.

Orientar el esfuerzo de Inteligencia de acuerdo con la situación y los requerimientos que impongan los intereses de la defensa nacional.

Mantener informado al Gobierno Nacional, al Consejo Superior de la Defensa Nacional, a los Gobiernos Seccionales y Municipales según el nivel de la respectiva Junta, y a los organismos en ella representados, de las conclusiones a que se llegue en sus deliberaciones.
