Los Cónsules jenerales, Cónsules i Vicecónsules podrán nombrar, bajo su responsabilidad, ajentes consolares para aquellos puntos en donde convenga, a su juicio, establecerlos como auxiliares de sus trabajos. De tales nombramientos darán parte a la autoridad superior local, al Ajente diplomático, si lo hubiere, i al Gobierno a quien sirven.
