El lote que solicite cada proponente tendrá una extensión continua variable desde cinco mil (5.000) hectáreas hasta cincuenta mil (50.000), salvo el caso en que el terreno que puede ser adjudicado no alcance a la extensión mínima, por estar colindando con terrenos de propiedad particular, o nacionales no adjudicarles o adjudicados anteriormente, casos en los cuales la extensión podrá ser menor.
