Art. 3.° Cuando ocurriere el caso de que, por faltas absolutas, se agotare la lista de Senadores ó Representantes, principales y suplentes, por un Departamento ó Distrito electoral, respectivamente, se harán nuevos nombramientos por quienes corresponda, según la ley.

Cuando ocurra el caso respecto de los Representantes, el Gobernador llamará á elecciones en el Distrito electoral correspondiente, y fijará las fechas en que ellas y los actos que les están relacionados deban verificarse. Servirá como lista de sufragantes para esta elección la que se hubiere formado para la precedente.
