º . Definición y objeto. A partir de la vigencia del Decreto 353 de 1994, la Caja de Vivienda Militar, creada por la Ley 87 de 1947 y reorganizada por los Decretos 3073 de 1968, 2351 de 1971, 2182 de 1984 y 2162 de 1992, se denominará Caja Promotora de Vivienda Militar. La Caja Promotora de Vivienda Militar tendrá como objeto facilitar a sus afiliados y vinculados por contrato de prestación de servicios, la adquisición de vivienda propia, mediante la realización de todas las operaciones del mercado inmobiliario, incluidas las de intermediación, la captación y administración de ahorro de sus afiliados y vinculados y el desarrollo de las actividades administrativas, técnicas y financieras que sean indispensables para el mismo efecto.
