La visa oficial podrá ser otorgada por el Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores o por el jefe de una misión diplomática de la República, autorizado para ello por la Cancillería, a los extranjeros titulares de pasaporte oficial, especial o de servicio, expedidos por sus respectivos gobiernos u organismo internacional, que vengan en desempeño de una misión oficial o transitoria, así como a su cónyuge e hijos menores solteros.
