1. Medalla Militar "Francisco José de Caldas" Artículo 193 . Origen . Creada mediante Decreto número 3404 de 1950 y modificada por los Decretos 150 y 804 de 1952, 2862 de 1956 y 581 de 1975; y contemplada en el Decreto 1880 de 1988, su propósito es el de estimular y premiar a los miembros de las Fuerzas Militares y servidores públicos del Sector Defensa que por su consagración al estudio hayan sobresalido, ocupando el primer puesto en las escuelas de formación, en cursos de capacitación y a quienes obtengan el título de profesor militar de primera categoría. Ostenta las siguientes categorías

Profesor.

Al Mérito.

A la Consagración.

Al Esfuerzo.

A la Aplicación.
