El Ministerio de Cultura, en coordinación con la Biblioteca Nacional, podrá seleccionar las obras literarias más representativas sobre la vida de la heroína nacional Policarpa Salavarrieta y las distribuirá en las bibliotecas de las instituciones educativas de nivel nacional, departamental y municipal, con el fin de preservar en las futuras generaciones la memoria de la heroína Policarpa Salavarrieta, como también su legado.
