El que altere las monedas de que trata elArtículo precedente, aminorando de cualquier modo el valor de esas monedas, o bien de acuerdo con el que ha alterado las monedas, las introduzca al territorio de la República, o las use o ponga de cualquier manera en la circulación, o las suministre a otros con el fin de que las empleen o las coloquen de cualquier manera en la circulación, será castigado con reclusión por ocho meses a cuatro años.
