Faltas temporales. Cuando los Cónsules Honorarios no puedan ejercer sus funciones de manera temporal, por enfermedad o por otro motivo debidamente justificado ante la Embajada y Oficina Consular de carrera correspondiente, se encargará de tales funciones a la Oficina Consular más cercana. De no existir esta posibilidad, se deberá comunicar y justificar su incapacidad inmediatamente ante la Dirección de Asuntos Migratorios, Consulares y Servicio al Ciudadano, para que esta dependencia tome las medidas que considere pertinentes.
