Cuando sobre los nombres de los principales detalles topográficos no haya acuerdo, las entidades competentes darán la solución definitiva al ratificar los límites. Los Alcaldes Municipales están en la obligación de dar aviso a los Ministerios de Gobierno y de Hacienda y Crédito Público sobre los cambios ocurridos en los nombres de los principales detalles topográficos en las regiones de su jurisdicción, para hacer las anotaciones en los planos respectivos.
