Art. 1554. El deudor puede renunciar el plazo, a menos que el testador haia dispuesto o las partes estipulado lo contrario, o que la anticipación del pago acarree al acreedor un perjuicio que por medio del plazo se propuso manifiestamente evitar.

En el contrato de mutuo a interés se observará lo dispuesto en el Artículo 2225.
