Art. 41. La Compañía asegurará el cumplimiento de las obligaciones a que so sujeta por este privilejio, con una suma de veinte i cuatro mil libras esterlinas, que pondrá a disposicisn del Gobierno de la República en Bogotá, Londres o Nueva York, segun lo determine el Poder Ejecutivo, dentro del término señalado en el articulo 47. Esta suma será devuelta a la Compañía sin interes alguno, luego que la obra del canal haya sido concluida, i abierta a la concurrencia pública.
