Para efectos de la alternación en el servicio, los funcionarios de la Carrera Diplomática y Consular no podrán permanecer en la planta interna o externa más de cuatro (4) años continuos ni ser trasladados al exterior antes de haber permanecido en planta interna un mínimo de dos (2) años.
