A partir del próximo año lectivo que desarrolla la educación en el Departamento del Valle del Cauca, créase una Escuela Normal Superior para Señoritas, en la ciudad de Buenaventura, que llevará el nombre de "Juan Ladrilleros", en homenaje a la memoria del ejecutor de la fundación de dicha ciudad.
