Cuando al aplicar las sanciones que establece la ley penal sea necesario sustituir una privativa de la libertad por otra de la misma especie, hacer cómputos o determinar proporciones, tres días de arresto equivalen a dos de prisión, y tres de ésta a dos de presidio.
