Para los efectos del derecho de autor ningún tipo de mandato tendrá una duración mayor de tres años. Las partes podrán prorrogar este plazo por períodos que no podrán exceder ese mismo número de años. Esta disposición se aplicará sin perjuicio de lo dispuesto en el artículo 216, numeral 3.
