En adelante el Instituto de que trata el artículo anterior tendrá como objeto fomentar las soluciones de vivienda de interés social y promover la aplicación de la Ley 9º de 1989 o las que se modifiquen, adicionen o complementen, para lo cual prestará asistencia técnica y financiera a las administraciones locales y seccionales y las organizaciones populares de vivienda, así como administrará los recursos nacionales del Subsidio Familiar de vivienda.
