° Retención y conducción. Cuando por insuficiencia o imposibilidad no se cumpliere la exigencia de la identificación a que alude el artículo 7° Del presente Decreto, la autoridad podrá, para este solo efecto, retener y conducir a la persona durante el tiempo necesario para indagar su idoneidad, el cual no excederá de veinticuatro (24) horas. En caso de renuencia a identificarse, la persona puede ser compelida, sin perjuicio de la sanción por el desacato de la orden.
